Manufacturing Process
- Mold forming — Flat glass is heated in a furnace until pliable, then gravity- or press-formed over a custom mold to the specified radius.
- Controlled annealing/tempering — Formed glass is annealed, heat-strengthened, or tempered depending on the strength requirement, following the curve profile.
- Radius & tolerance control — Radius, chord height, and dimensional tolerances are verified against the mold and project drawings before shipment.
- Coating compatibility — Curved glass can be produced from coated (Low-E) stock where coating durability supports the forming process.
